Email Setup
This guide explains how to connect your Vacer-hosted email account to your phone or email application.
For all examples in this guide we will use the mailbox:
All email services are hosted on:
mail.vacer.de
Email Server Settings
Use the following settings when configuring your mailbox manually.
Incoming Mail (IMAP)

Outgoing Mail (SMTP)

iPhone / iPad (Apple Mail)
- Open Settings
- Navigate to Mail
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
- Select Other
- Tap Add Mail Account
Fill in the following information:

After submitting:

Your device will automatically configure the correct SSL ports.
Android (Gmail App)
- Open the Gmail App
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap Add another account
- Select Other
- Enter your email address (
[email protected]) - Choose IMAP
Enter the following settings.
Incoming Server

Finish the setup and your mailbox will sync automatically.
Samsung Mail
- Open Samsung Email
- Tap Add Account
- Enter your email (
[email protected]) - Select Manual Setup
- Choose IMAP
Use the same IMAP and SMTP settings listed above.
Outlook Mobile
- Open the Outlook App
- Tap Add Account
- Enter your email (
[email protected]) - Choose IMAP
When prompted for server settings, use:
Incoming Server
mail.vacer.de
Port: 993
Security: SSLOutgoing Server
mail.vacer.de
Port: 465
Security: SSLExchange / ActiveSync
Some devices support Exchange / ActiveSync, which allows email, contacts, and calendar synchronization in one account.
To configure it:

After connecting, your device may also automatically sync:
- Contacts
- Calendar
If your device has issues connecting via Exchange, use IMAP instead, which is supported on all devices.
Changing or Resetting Your Password
If you need to change your mailbox password, follow these steps.
- Open the Vacer Mail interface in your browser
- Log in using your email address and password
- Navigate to Mailbox Settings
- Select Change Password
- Enter a new secure password
- Save your changes
After changing your password, remember to update it on all connected devices.
Otherwise, your phone or mail client will no longer be able to sync emails.
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to server
Check the following:
- Server address is mail.vacer.de
- Username is your full email address
- SSL/TLS is enabled
- Ports are correct (
993for IMAP and465for SMTP)
Emails send but do not receive
Ensure your incoming server is configured with:
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLSAuthentication errors
Make sure:
- Your password is correct
- Your username is the full email address
